The COVID-19 health pandemic has taken more than 210,000 lives across the world, with more than 3 million confirmed cases. In the United States alone, more than 950,000 cases of the disease and nearly more than 53,000 deaths have been confirmed, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). In response to this global health crisis, the people at GivingTuesday have implemented a new program called GivingTuesdayNow. The virtual event takes place on Tuesday, May 5 and is penned as a day of gratitude and giving. True Care is participating in next Tuesday’s GivingTuesdayNow, and we invite you to join us.

Donors and supporters are necessary to keep our doors open and to reach these women and save the lives of their unborn babies. As we approach #GivingTuesday2019, we ask you to help us help the women of our community. Help us reach them, help us teach them. This special international day of giving takes place Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019. We want to be the first stop for women like Sandra, who recently came to True Care undecided as to the outcome of her pregnancy. Read her story on this blog.

Thanks & Giving

She was assessed as likely to abort when she came for her pregnancy test appointment at True Care. Thirty-year-old Dani worked in the medical profession and had taken a nasty fall at work.  She required surgery; then, Dani suspected she was pregnant. The father of her child wanted her to abort. Dani couldn’t believe she was faced with such a choice. Yet, her concerns about the upcoming, needed surgery, taking pain killers while pregnant, and the pressure from the baby’s father made her seriously consider abortion. True Care was there for Dani because you've been there for True Care. Be part of our financial goal on #GivingTuesday, November 27 so together, we can help more "Danis." November is known for many observations, especially Thanksgiving. It’s also known as a time that retail businesses bombard us with advertisements to spend money. However, there is another special day that encourages helping others -- it's called GivingTuesday. True Care will participate for the second time, hoping to raise $10,000 on this one day to continue helping women who experience unplanned pregnancies. Learn more about this endeavor and how you can be part of changing and saving lives on our latest blog post.
