Hymn Sing for Life

Do the old-time hymns make you want to sing? If so, here’s an event you won’t want to miss!  True Care Women’s Resource Center and First Presbyterian Church will hold the first annual Hymn Sing for Life, Sunday, April 2 at 4pm at First Presbyterian Church, 804 South Wolcott. Make a joyful noise with Masters of Ceremony, Ashley Bright, and Kansas City organist and composer, Kurt Knecht. A free-will offering will be taken, and you can bid to have Kurt play your favorite hymn. Admission is free. Proceeds go to True Care. For more information call Terry at 473-2275.

Babies Go to Congress

True Care patient, Acacia Boyes, and her 10 month old baby boy, Axton, traveled with True Care President, Terry Winship, to Washington, DC for Babies Go to Congress on January 26. She did a fantastic job sharing her story with staffers from the offices of Senators Barrasso, Enzi and House member Cheney. We were disappointed we didn't get to meet with the congressmen themselves, (they were all in Philadelphia for meetings), but we were given a very warm, receptive welcome by staffers Elizabeth Schwartz (Enzi), Jay Eberle (Barrasso) and Sara Meier (Cheney).

Babies Go To Congress was started several years ago by Heartbeat International and gives pregnancy centers and their patients an opportunity to do a little "show and tell" about our life-saving work. We were one of 7 "delegations" representing pregnancy centers from across the United States. Watch Acacia's story below.

Vision Tours

A Vision Tour is a one-hour tour of True Care from the patient's perspective. Tours are from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, once or twice a month, usually on a Thursday evening. We welcome individuals, couples or groups.  Or, we can come to your church or business with our “Vision Tour in a Box.”
Contact Us for dates and times or to set up a time that is convenient for you or your group.

Baby Bottle Boomerang

The Baby Bottle Boomerang Fundraiser takes place each year between Sanctity of Human Life Sunday in January and President’s Day weekend.  Families and individuals are encouraged to pick up a bottle at church and return it on President’s Day weekend filled with coins, bills and/or checks. If your church doesn’t participate please contact us and we will be happy to call your pastor about being involved.

Have you forgotten to return your True Care baby bottle? You can drop it off at your church or bring it to True Care. Our hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 5pm and Wednesday 1pm to 5pm.

Making a Difference Fundraising Dessert

The Dessert is held each year in October.  This is when folks who have attended a Vision Tour and have gotten to know us are encouraged and challenged to become involved.  We keep it simple - no expensive speaker - just our patients and staff telling how we are accomplishing the mission to erase the perceived need for abortion in our community. Contact us for information on this inspiring event.
